Yann Arthus-Bertrand, creator of the movie HOME, delivers an outstanding presentation on TED Talks.
Presenting some of the direst crisis of our planet – the end of the oil economy, global warming, shortage of water, famine – Arthus-Bertrand states that “we don’t want to believe what we know”. With the wisdom of such simple truth we are confronted with the culture of denial that persists throughout our society.
He also presents his latest project titled 6 billion Others, a portrayal of the contemporary mankind composed by statements of citizens from every corner of the world about universal issues.
In our age, often dominated by a profusion of images and media noise, here is a work that invites us to “listen to the other” in the most profound sense. Simply amazing.
